Elijah loves peekaboo too, but this morning apparently it was more a case of being tangled in it and unable to escape, and running around like a little Casper the ghost, bouncing off things and tripping over0 -

Toby was laughing at OH playing peekaboo last night. Wasn't the game he liked though, just the word. Every time I said it he really giggled.Stay-at-home, attached Mummy to a 23lb 10oz, 11 month old baby boy.0

The other day with SIL came over, she brought OH's (our?
) nephew with her. He'll be four in a couple of weeks. Doesn't talk much but he whispered to his Mum "Can I hold the baby?" and looked pleased as punch when we let him..

Apparently at random he comes out with "Can we go see the baby?" too0 -
Right here goes, nobody shout at me!
I was advised by the health visitor when I went for Leila's 2nd injections last week to start giving her baby rice. There's a few reasons for it but I dont really want to go into it as its peed me right off!
Anyways, I gave her some baby rice last night and was sort of hoping that she would reject it and then I could tell the HV where to go. I know my own baby and I dont think she's really ready for it but i'm due to see the HV again in 2 weeks and I didnt want to get in trouble for not trying atleast. She's not even my regular HV so I dont know whether she just has her own way of doing things and has tried to impose them on me.
Unfortunately or fortunately depending on how you look at it, she loved it and sat there with an open mouth waiting for the next spoonful. Her tongue thrust reflex has pretty much gone so she quite happily lapped it up. She then cried when I decided that she had had enough and stopped giving her more. I am going to discuss it in more detail with the HV when I see her next as I'm really still not sure about it. But thats not really my question.
I just wondered what baby rice you lot use. I have organix wholemeal rice but dont know if theres a better one, especially with my little girl being so little.

The more I think about the more I think that it was this particular HV and i'm hoping that the one I see in 2 weeks will tell me she was wrong and hopefully have words with her. It was that HV who told me Leila had thrush when all it was was a white tongue from her milk. On that day, I saw another HV, who saw the white tongue and immediately said 'has she just had her feed'? It was also that HV who started asking me how my C-section was healing, when I didnt have a C-section. Maybe she read someone elses notes or just isnt experienced.
