Hi All,
I am thinking of leaving BT and moving my phone line to tiscali or talktalk. Do i need to cancel BT or does the new company arrange everything? Do they also automatically transfer my existign number?
One final question - If i go back to BT in the future will i need to pay the £120 odd connection charge?
Thanks

The new company will do the donkey work for you - just like changing energy suppliers. And your number is transfered with you too. It normally takes up to 4 weeks. As an extra precuation I would cancel the DD with BT if you have one once to start getting billed by the new company.
The £120 is for line installation so if you switch back you dont need to pay this again.0
