Afternoon
Today I:- used my nectar card (and had the till-lady explain how the nectar card system works cos I have no clue!)
- cancelled 2 subscriptions to stuff that I no longer need
- will go and clean out the guinea pigs for my boss who is paying me to do it!
- checked online banking and things are ok-ish!
Ever wonder about those people who spend £2 apiece on those little bottles of Evian water? Try spelling Evian backward.0 -

I then discovered that I can get the same deal through Quidco AND get £90 cashback! It means I have to change my number but who cares? So that's another £5 per month to go off my credit card and £90 cashback, which I will also put towards the credit card.
I've also had Vodafone on the phone, very confused as they can't understand what I've done or how I've done it, lol!
My contract is due for renewal too and I am doing something similar. Vodafone keep calling me to talk about my renewal and when I say no thanks and explain what I am going to do, they really struggle to understand!Ever wonder about those people who spend £2 apiece on those little bottles of Evian water? It's great isn't it? For anyone wanting a laugh see transcript below.
Vodafone guy: I can offer you a better deal.
Me: I'm getting 100 min, 500 text, a new phone for £10/month and £90 cashback.
Vodafone guy: I can offer you an upgrade where you get 100 min, 500 text, a new phone for £10/month.
Me: You can't offer me cashback though.
Vodafone guy: No.
Me: I'll stick with this then, thanks.
Vodafone guy: Ok, I understand. They're able to undercut us by £90.
Me: No, I'm still with Vodafone, I'm just able to get cashback through Quidco because I'm taking out a new contract instead of upgrading.
Vodafone guy: That's ok, so you've chosen to go with them instead.
Me: No, I'm still with Vodafone, the only difference is that I'm giving up the right to keep my number so I can use a cashback site.
Vodafone guy: Well they don't have a deal with Vodafone, I'd know about it. I understand that you've chosen to go elsewhere though.

Had to laugh at the vodafone conversation - I've had one with them today too!!
Got my bill in August and it was wrong, following contract renewal/new phone. So I called them, bill dropped from £71 to £46 (which was ok, had used it in France) .
DD should have been collected 26 August - didnt happen. Called yesterday, was told that because bill was amended, DD couldnt collect, so need to pay with card. Fine, called back today to pay the £46 odd, & was told nothing to pay, acc in credit by £24!!!
I kept telling him no, I owe you £46 - he went & got manager to check, nope, its in credit!!!! :rotfl:
Thing is, I know its not right, and am sure that they will work it out eventually, but in the meantime, money is in my account not theirs!!!
Anywayyyy, apart from that, today I have already:
- Checked online banking
- Tea from freezer
- Packed lunches for work/school
- Taken back DDs sale trainers from Mr T to change for correct size, & while there bought her some flip flops for next year for 75p :T
- Hokey cokey
Have a good evening everyone xx0 -
