Wed 9th Sept - what small DFW things have you done today?

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free
Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important
Morning all:j
No work for me today, so dropping DD2 at school then going to Tesco to do my shopping while it's lovely and quiet!
Very tired though - I could have stayed in bed:o
Hi to all you regulars and welcome to any new posters:D
Here's my list:
Have a great day all!

I'll be taking my lunch into work today, writing to Sainsburys to gently tell them that I know the FOS have found in my favour as far as my PPI mis-sale complaint and advise them of my contact details and that I 'look forward to hearing from them'.Almost debt-free, but certainly even with the Banks!0

Have just managed to achieve my third(!) no spend day of the week by using up the last of my homemade soup from the freezer with the stale-ish end of the bread. Wasn't brilliant but when dipped in soup didn't taste too bad. Now if I can make my petrol last till Friday I might manage a no spend work week - yipee!!
Hope you all have a good day!LBM 17th August 2009 Debt at LBM £18,612 Proud to be dealing with my debts.0 -

My work out on my DVD
Shower rather than have a bath

check online banking

Set up an 'incentive saver' with Lloyds TSB to start my 'virtual sealed pot' challenge, £6.76 in there so far, the money in this will either be used for Christmas present purchasing or to pay off a bulk sum of my loan, depending on how much I save and by when, and how addicted I get to seeing the numbers in that account go up
.
Also added a few more silver coins to my 'sealed pot' which is nearly full, its quite a large tin. This is either going to be used for holiday money or Christmas money.
3rd NSD :APersonal Loan: Start: £22020:eek: Now: £18800 :j
Credit Card: £600
Overdraft: £5000 -
I have quite a good one. My mobile contract was up for renewal and I found that I could go to £10 per month (currently £15) and get a new phone. I then discovered that I can get the same deal through Quidco AND get £90 cashback! It means I have to change my number but who cares? So that's another £5 per month to go off my credit card and £90 cashback, which I will also put towards the credit card.
I've also had Vodafone on the phone, very confused as they can't understand what I've done or how I've done it, lol!0
