Hotpoint Washer / Dryer WD860P

Please please help me! Desperate for a new Hotpoint Washer Dryer - like the look of model WD860P.

Do any of you MSE's know how I can locate the cheapest / best deal for one?

The best I've found so far is £371.13 delivered via 24Electric.

My socks are desperate for a wash!!!!!!!

    Hi,

I bought the WD645 (the aluminium coloured version of the one you want) from Currys in January for about that price (that's a v v good price for the 860), that was with free delivery and using one of the discount codes on this site :D

I looked at the 860/865, but I was put off by the buttons. The 645 has
a dial, whereas the 8** range has buttons, one of which - when prodding in the shop when I went to scout them out - I managed to push back into the machine. It promptly put me off the 8 range. If I can do that just as a one-off accident, god knows how it would stand up to young children prodding and poking it!

I can definitely recommend the 640 series though if you can pick them up a bit cheaper (however a quick look gives £330 as a figure)

Thanks for the tips indiegirl - out of interest, where do you go on the World Wide Interweb for your rock bottom prices?

    Don't buy a washer dryer.
There's more to go wrong more expensively!
get washing machine and then buy cheap tumbly drier so that you can get another load in the WM whilst the other load is tumbling.
Also the load size for the WM is not the same load size as for the TD.
there, said me piece, I'm off.

Before ya go Fanny - thanks for your help. Only trouble is I'm short on space so it'll have to be a Washer/Dryer combo. And it has to be Hotpoint cos my old one has kept me going for 150 years (or thereabouts).;)

Does anyone know another way of searching for cheap electricals - I've used pricerunner, kelkoo, dealtime - struggling to get the price down beyond £370. If anyone can reduce it further, I'll do their washing / drying for a week!:T

Try 123Electricals4me (https://www.123electricals4me.co.uk) - have just bought a Hotpoint WT960 from them - best price according to Kelkoo and a free 5 year parts guarantee.

    Cheers

Thanks lycrawearer - not less than £370 BUT I love the idea of a free 5 year parts guarantee :T
What was their service like - and delivery times? Think I might buy from them if there are no better options from anyone else.
Thanks for all your help - muchos appreciatos :o

We got a hotpoint washer dryer from currys or comet - I forget. But it was tehir auction site that we got it on. We bought one with a slight dent in the side. No-one see's the side so I didn't mind. Cost us £320 including postage. Am well impressed. Not sure what model we got but it has the digital blue display, can change the temp, speed and rinse, delay and loads of other stuff to. Its fab.

I've deleted the website but I got it from MSE. There was loads of other white goods to buy as well.

Service was excellent. Placed order on the web, had a phone call within a couple of hours thanking me for my order, and advising that this particular model would be coming direct from Hotpoint within 10 days.

    Also had email confirmations ...

Hotpoint made contact, and item was delivered on the date/time they said ... can't fault them at all.

Wife loves the washing machine by the way lot's of options/choices and very very quiet :)

    Cheers
