BT email address???

Does anyone know the correct email address for direct contact with BT. My husband was told there is only one but doesn't believe them.

I have had success with THIS webmail one.
Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.
  • No he has already filled in these type of forms before. He wants a proper email address so he can forward several phishing emails he has been getting. The online form is no use for this as the Indian call centre calls him back thinking there is a problem with his email, which there isn't. He is fed up getting these dodgy emails and wants to do something about it but BT don't seem interested. So a proper email address would be good if anyone has one.

And before anyone says he only wants to send them to BT as they are emails pertaining to be from BT, they are definitely not real ones.

Everybody gets phishing emails. There is no way of stopping them. Spammers send out millions in the hope of fooling maybe a dozen people into releasing sensitive information.

You just have to be aware and delete them immediately (without clicking on any links).

  • My husband is well aware that phishing emails are common and knows not to click on them. Most banks and paypal have phishing email addresses you can forward them to. These companies take it seriously and try to do something about it. Bt obviously doesn't. Thats all I'm asking for, an actual email address. The form is a waste of time.

BT does and, strangely enough, that 'waste of time' form is the one BT ask you to use (see HERE).

  • Sorry Heinz but we have used that form several times to alert BT to phishing emails and all that we get is a call from BT in India asking if we can help with a fault with our email addresses. They do not seem to understand what we mean when we tell them we have had a phishing email. We've been on the phone to them for over an hour trying to explain what it is and they pass us on to different departments. I would just like it if someone at this communications company knew what we were trying to tell them. I give up. Aren't there any BT reps on here who can help?

Have you forwarded the emails in the manner detailed on that link?

  • My husband has forwarded the emails exactly as it says on the link. Then we get a confused BT employee phoning us a couple of days later asking us what the problem is but they do not understand when it is explained to them.

That's ridiculous. They set up a system to deal with a specific issue and then route the communications to people who do not understand the basics.

  • Thank you Heinz.
Will give that email address a go and see if we get any sort of a response.
I'll post again if it works.
