You can certainly pay in with a printed BGC slip free of charge(but even cash would take 3 days to clear) , but you wont be able to withdraw from the counter free of charge, but just use the link network:)
    For everthing else there's mastercard.
    For clampers there's Barclaycard.
  • Was your account opened in Northern Ireland? If it was, I'd recommend opening an account with RBS.

I have had customers, mainly students, who have an account at Ulster bank, and student accounts with RBS. The Ulster bank account is on Faster Payments, so they would just transfer money between their accounts in an instant.

This can be done in branches as long as they know their account number and sort code.
Anything that I do say, is strictly my opinion :p

You can pay into Nat West if there are any near you.
  • Just realized I didn't actually answer the question in the thread title lol.

Yes you can pay in up to £5000, at any RBS branch, provided you have a paying in slip for your Ulster bank account.

What BASFORDLAD said aswell, applies too :)
