Have watched the BBC series economy gastronomy
Enjoyed the series
Purchased the book £20
Did the bedrock mince recipe that should according to the book make 3 tumbledown dishes that feed 4 people each
The bedrock recipe states (in the book & on the web site) 1kg of minced beef
Then once made seperate into 3 equal portions of 800g each
Now even with the other ingredients added to the 1kg you cannot make 3 portions of 800g
You can only make 3 portions of 400g each
All the tumbledown recipes state use your 800g bedrock portion ?
Is it me or has anyone else noticed this ?
We didnt until we were trying to split it three ways !
It also makes you question the other recipes, when you buy a cook book you trust that the people writing it have worked it all out for you
I want to complain but not sure how to or who to ?
Major !!!! up though

"Very funny, Scotty. Now beam down my clothes."
All truth goes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed. Then, it is violently opposed. Finally, it is accepted as self-evident.
