That's the nuts and bolts of it- haven't been able to access the Guardian website for several days now, to read their news articles. I assume this might be something to do with cookies, but I don't know, or what to do about it.
I haven't added or deleted anything from my computer, so I don't know why this might have come about. I've tried on 2 different browsers, and it doesn't work on either. I don't have a problem with any other site, either.
Thanks for reading- any advice much appreciated!

http://www.guardian.co.uk/ is working fine here, try clearing your DNS cache:
Go to Start > Run> Type cmd and click OK > type ipconfig /flushdns into the black box and hit enter.0 -

Probably just the fact that his computer is acting up is a good enough indication0 -
Heh. Good point.0

I am indeed using windows:o Windows Vista. It came with the computer. I'd much prefer to use a Linux system, but I don't have the techie know-how to use even one of the simpler ones...
The Browser is Opera, but I can't access the site with Firefox either.0 -
In that case you have to find the Command Prompt from the start menu in Vista and right click it and run as administrator. Might be worth turning the router off and on too.0

Did you clear the DNS cache as instructed?
In Vista just type cmd where it says "Start Search" to get a command window. Then followin instructions above.0 -
Exactly what error message is the browser showing - the site is certainly up.
Try http://www.grauniad.co.uk - they must have a sense of humour because that is redirecting to the correct site for me.0 -
Browse to http://77.91.249.30 If that turns up the guardian for you, then the problem is DNS, otherwise you are blocked for some reason
