What should we do with £17k?

Hi there,
I've spent a fair bit of time looking at the forums but this is the first time I've got round to actually posting. Hopefully, you'll be able to offer me some advice.
My Wife and I have £17k in savings and are unsure how to make the best use of it. We currently have around £1500 in an ISA but haven't contributed for a number of months. However, we have considered starting that again.
The other option is to pay off more of our mortgage (£92k) fixed for 5 years at 4.99%.
We have no credit cards or loans.
What would you recommend? Obviously, if you need anymore information regarding our circumstances, please ask.
