Caledonian Sleeper Bargain Berths

Hi. Just wondering if anyone has ever managed to secure the elusive £19 bargain berth? When are these released? I have a specific date in mind in January although the booking system only allows bookings up to November at the moment.

They seem to get released on Fridays for the next week not already on their calender. You have to be very quick to get the £19 tickets. They only release 2x£19, 2x£29, 2x£39, 2x£49.

Any idea what time on Fridays they are released? Considering the cost savings, it would be worth staying up until one minute past midnight if that is what's required to get the £19 ticket.

I've been looking at fares for next year and despite the website stating that a single advanced ticket to Fort William is £59, the cheapest available to book is £91, and they go up to £160 for the same train times? I'm assuming that the more expensive ones allow changes to the booking, but the £91 is still a lot more than the advertised £59.

Just received a long and rambling response from Scotrail, explaining that the sleeper service passes through lots of regions and everything is National Rail's fault... Not really answering my question.

They did state that all Sleeper tickets cannot be booked more than 12 weeks in advance, which does not explain why their website was going to let me buy tickets for next February, 17 weeks away, at a not so bargain price of £91 to £160!

Network rail may not have finalised all their engineering works plans yet for all the regions the train passes through so it may get diverted and as yet they cannot set the discount fares.
