Just wondering what the reasons arebehind the forum rule, that prevents, i.e O.S board members sending each other seeds/recipe cards, offering unwanted freebies, offering vouchers to others that you cannot use.
I have , for example 100+ sainsburys active vouchers that i'd love to send to someone who needs them, but can't do it.
We are all adults (mostly!lol), we all know the potential risk of giving out our address to 'strangers', but in most cases I would be happy to do so, and I am sure all m.s.ers would exercise due caution.
If there are legal implications for allowing these exchanges,or if you are worried about the extra workload involved, i.e from a user reporting to send an s.a.e and never recieving what was promised, can you not put out a clear disclaimer and then leave these things for us to deal with amongst ourselves?
just some thoughts...

Hi Starlite
It's pretty much a combination of everything you've said. Problem is that if we allowed it on one board, we would be pressured to allow it on others. Imagine if everyone starting having problems and reporting to us - our workload is huge anyway with a small team (getting toward breaking point at times with the amount of members). We simply couldnt cope. Combined with that, we take a cautionary approach to personal data exchange.
I hope this helps - we certainly dont do it out of malice!

Of course you don't!
I was just interested as to why, and if there is anyway around it (for you I mean..lol)
but all valid points..and it would be difficult with a forum of this size I guess...Membre Of Teh Misspleing Culb0
