new to family train travel - please help

    Olympia is in zone 2. A zone 1&2 off-peak travelcard costs £5.60. Children under 11 travel free on the tube if accompanied by an adult with a valid ticket. Children aged 11-15 can have an all zones travelcard for £1 when purchased by adult with a travelcard.

    The family rail card is a great idea when I looked on the NXEC website i found I could take my family of 4 to london from leeds for May bank holiday for just £79. If I buy a family rail card the total cost of taking a family of 4 from leeds to london is £79 including the rail card cost, but £10 more if I don't buy the rail card. Its a no brainer buy the family rail card. Thanks for some great advise!
