Depositing cash without card

After opening my bank account, I have been given the sort code and account number on the bank's headed paper on the same day. I gave the opening deposit, but the advisor said there is no need to do that.

My card will arrive sometime next week.

I would like to make a deposit into my account. When going to the cashier, will they still let me deposit the cash by showing 2 forms of ID and the headed paper which has the sort code and account number printed on?

I don't think you need any ID. I have deposited money by just turning up saying I have an account here and telling cashier my name/address etc so I can be found on computer.
I have taken out money with just one piece of ID too.

What type of account do you have ?

You don't need a card or ID to deposit money into an account. All you need are the sort number and account number, unless there is something very peculiar about this account.

    What bank is it?
At Lloyds you can just fill in a slip with your sort code and account number and hand the cashier your money and it is in your account immediately.

Last time I was in Natwest it was the same as above, as was Alliance and Leicester.

At HSBC you pay your cash into a machine in which you just type your sort code and account number.(Unless some branches don't have these yet)
