Switched to Primus for Line Rental

Just realised I am being ripped off by BT at £11.25 a month line rental and noticed a cheaper alternative for £9.50 a month. Should have done it ages ago.
My calls I have with tesco home phone so even though I do not use the phone much as at work during the day my usage is between £9 and £17 a month making calls.

You won't be able to have your calls with Tesco if you hand your line rental to Primus (only BT allows you to have a CPS calls provider).
Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.

Seems to me more of a rip off, paying Tesco between £9 and £17 and Primus another £9.50 a month when you could get BT rental and unlimited calls for £16.20 per month inclusive.

Or alternatively if you are at work during the day for the cost of line rental with BT £11.25 per month you can get unlimited evening and weekend calls and use a CPS provider for any daytime calls.
