I work in charity fundraising and I can tell you that this is most certainly NOT a certainty. With the economy still slow, corporate fundraising has become significantly more difficult and nothing is guaranteed anymore. Companies are having to think very carefully about charitable donations and if they can get some free PR/advertising out of the deal, of course they will be more likely to give.
