A moan about Next Homeware

I finished my bathroom refit about 4 weeks ago and purchased a few items for it from Next, all part of the Circa range:

http://www.next.co.uk/shopping/homeware/bathroom/20/5

One of the things I bought you can just see on that page, but is no longer listed, is a stainless steel soap dispenser designed to go next to the sink.

Its been in the room for 3 weeks and in that time has ruined the worktop around the sink. OH noticed the round marks, we have tried everything to remove them but the worktop is black gloss and it will not shift. OH temporarily put the dispenser in the tiled windowsill, I picked it up this morning and there is a ring of rust now in the window (which thankfully has come off).

So, it seems Next have designed a product for damp bathroom use, that rusts and stains and actually ruins your surfaces.

I don't suppose it's worth complaining to Next but it has annoyed me.

    Here we go:

As you can see from the pics it has burned rings into the gloss of the work surface. We are now faced with having to replace all of that section :(

Unfortunately not, I'm getting someoone to to lift the rusty tile and lay a new one. All a huge pain in the bum. I launched the offending item out of my bathroom window while swearing and ranting!!! I was very, very annoyed. To be honest I didn't really want to march into NEXT with my used loo brush in hand EEEWWW!!
Hope you get something sorted with them tho, as it was meant for use in a bathroom you should have some comeback I would think

The more I think about it, the more annoyed I am to be honest. What is the point of an item designed for use in a wet environment that causes damage like that!
I have emailed them. I'll keep the thread updated.
