  • tonight erin met Nik (golferman).........

not in a this is mum's boyfriend (cause he isn't!) but erin has been selected as a squad player for the football team and is likely to be in goal on saturday's match coming up....

anyway he'd said to me before he'd easily give her some coaching as he also plays football (he is a goalie) and so tonight i bit the bullet and they met... she loved it! she learned loads... and she liked him

she doesn't know anything more than that he's a pal of mine....

he stayed for 10mins afterwards and left... dead straightforward, dead easygoing and i was shiiitting myself!
I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....

I'm glad it went so well. kids are so easy going and don't usually make a big deal of anything unless we make a big deal of it!

It's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.

indeed, and of course i was looking like death warmed up after being out for a run!! and it didn't put him off me either! judging by the brief snog when Erin was safely tucked into the shower!
