Astounding in their obtuseness

Just a quick thought:
It is astounding that the banks are STILL fighting every last penny. They are going to lose the war, and I suspect, given the government's desperation for a popular/populist policy, there is a strong possibility they will face a deluge of claims and some sort of compulsory payment. There is also talk of the possibility of people being allowed to claim recompense.
Had they paid up (or really - had they charged only their true costs), they wouldn't be in the pickle that awaits them.
Ho hum.

Once we have the Supreme Court decision then we can talk of possibilities. That is mind boggling. I mean, that depending on your point of view this decision could have wider implications.0
