Another day, another Vista reinstall.

For some reason the product key had been corrupted and Vista was flagging it invalid.

Now sometime over the weekend it had gone past it's 28 days / one months grace.

So today it had locked me out. It shot up some validation error and told me to go to correct the error on the internet (only thing accessible) in standard mode. - ie Won't let me go to computer properties to update the key.

So I go to Safe Mode With Networking and - you can't change product key in safe mode.

I do despair. Anyone got a countdown clock to the new one. I can honestly say I can't wait !!!!!!

PS in the end I just reinstalled. Why fight the inevitable...

Probably, couldn't see a specific mention of what your asking, but maplins have a solar powered light/sensor that could be used so you not need to have it near a mains supply.
