Sound cuts out after hibernation.Help please.

Hi all.Recently my computer has decided to cut the sound off after I return to my computer after putting it in Hibernate mode. I can get the sound back if I restart,shut down or even log off,but that is really annoying if I have lots of things running. Does anyone have an idea as to what it could be?Could I have changed a setting that does this?
