asda vent & tesco praise

Options
grr, DD is two tomorrow and were having a party for some family and friends. I ordered all the food on ASDA website. Havent used it for a while and we have changed address so i made sure i put in my new address and then filled "trolley", checked out, put delivery for tuesday 8th between 10am and 12pm - everything was fine.

Sat there earlier with my nan and she wanted to know what food i had brought, logged onto ASDA to tell her, and noticed they had my billing address as NEW house but delivery as OLD house. Couldnt figure out how to change it? Website said orders must be changed before 10pm day before delivery. Rang them at 9:15, explained situation. They said that it was a computer fault and that the only thing i could do was restart order for delivery Wednesday. Explainedparty tomorrow ETC and he said it was basically tough so i told them to shove their order and toddled off to tescos

Got to tescos, started filling trolley, forgot what was on list and a tesco worker approached me, asked if i needed help, explained, he then walked round the store with me helping pick things, He then scanned eveyhing for me on self service, helped pack the bags, loaded them into the trolley then helped me with them into car.

I didnt catch the guys name but i hope he knows how much i appreciated his help!

Got more food for less money too so sod you asda, im a tesco lady now! HMPH!

Yes much easier when you actually go into a shop and buy the products yourself ;)

online ordering is complete pot luck, with all the major supermarkets, you think it will save time but it doesnt!

I disagree. I have been using Tesco and Asda for a year and apart from a few minor problems that have been sorted out its been easier and less stressful than going to the supermarket. Maybe it depends what area you live in.

yes mrcol, i was just thinking after reading another thread that we should have a 'free tool' on here which has a user rating against every major supermarket, their address, quality of service, mispricing etc etc.
i havent used online buying for a year due to bad service so maybe you are in a good area. i know iceland home delvery is very good.

Its just a shame their food isn't.
  • I remeber Iceland tried to do online and the times i ordered from them was good but now i hear you need to go in store, pick everything and then they deliver, great if you havent got a car but kinda pointless if you only have your shopping to pick up - might as well take it home?
