Oddly I was the same, loved Creamola but hated semolina which always seemed "gritty" at schoolEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0 -
I remember having Creamola foam as a treat, anyone else remember Eiffel Tower lemonade crystals?0

They DO sell it. Its made by Whitworths and its called ground rice (have some in cupboard but have decanted into jar). Just googled it. It says it sells in Asda,Morrisons and independent stores. I've only ever found it in local store. Someone will prob. tell me its different from rice cremola - but it tastes the same to me. I make it in microwave - instructions on packet.
Lovely with a blob of jam in middle (Fathers bad influence when we were children).:j0 -
I remember the Eiffel Tower lemonade crystals. My mother used to buy them occasionally and I used to love that lemonade.
My grandmother used to cook some kind of milk pudding every day-Cremola, rice, flaked rice, tapioca, flaked tapioca, macaroni-we usually had them with stewed fruit.I still like milk puddings but DH isn't too keen on anything "sloppy" He'll eat rice pudding but that's all-if he's away I make myself ground rice pudding or baked egg custard0 -
I used to get cremola foam as a kid but it gave you terrible wind!"Sometimes life sucks....but the alternative is unacceptable."0

We had cremola at least 4 days a week as a child in the 1970's. Think they must have been plugging milk cos most of our puddings were milk based - blancmange, rice pudding, frogspawn (tapioca), queen pudding, angel delight etc. I always thought cremola was just custard?
My parents used to get it from Scotland when they stopped doing it down here, wonder if its still available there? Please do not quote spam as this enables it to 'live on' once the spam post is removed.
