Hi, I have a credit card with alliance & leicester and have occasionally been late paying but never too much or too late!
I phoned as my new card did not get sent when it expired and they said they were not going to give me a new card and I have to carry on paying it at the current interest as normal!
Is this right???
Thanks

Yes, you managed your account poorly so they have done the right thing and not issued you a new card as you are a high risk customer.samantha2312 wrote: »Hi, I have a credit card with alliance & leicester and have occasionally been late paying but never too much or too late!

Maybe be more careful next time.
Since when has the world of computer software design been about what people want? This is a simple question of evolution. The day is quickly coming when every knee will bow down to a silicon fist, and you will all beg your binary gods for mercy.0 -
What about getting it written off??0

I have a handful of times been late by max couple of weeks paying! Any useful help would be valued, I don't want to reclaim charges as I have only ever had them at my own fault!Debts £3000.00 Paid off £0.00

Have you tried changing your credit card provider?samantha2312 wrote: »I have a handful of times been late by max couple of weeks paying! Lots of providers are reducing the outstanding debt across all their cards. Some people have had the card not renewed as in your case and many have had the balance available reduced month on month or even drastically slashed.
This is happening to those with good credit ratings and bad.

Yes, it is a requirement that you can thank the Government for.samantha2312 wrote: »I have a credit card with alliance & leicester ... Until January this year, cc providers reserved the right to vary standard rates even after cards were cancelled. Now they're required to freeze interest rates following closure.People who don't know their rights, don't actually have those rights.0
