Connecting netbook to wireless network

I have done a search but couldn't quite find the answer.
I have just got a netbook and am trying to connect to our wireless network, and it wants the WPA key, which I can't find.
I have logged into the router, as I have seen advised, but I can't seem to figure out what I'm looking for. There is a MAC address, which I have tried, but no obvious WPA code.
All help greatly appreciated - I've had this netbook for days and can't use it!

Most routers have the code on the bottom of them, have you looked there ?
If you can't find it you need to log into the router while connected using a wire, it won't show you the code if you login using a wireless connection.0 -
The WPA details should be in the wireless section, probably entitled security. If you said which model of router, people could advise you more easily. No free lunch, and no free laptop

Thanks for the advice, guys.
I can't believe it - I have gone through the router site so many times. I looked on the FAQ to see if they could help, went to back the page I have been staring at and the info is all there.
So I'm up and running now, but thank yo again.0
