Connecting netbook to wireless network

I have done a search but couldn't quite find the answer.

I have just got a netbook and am trying to connect to our wireless network, and it wants the WPA key, which I can't find.

I have logged into the router, as I have seen advised, but I can't seem to figure out what I'm looking for. There is a MAC address, which I have tried, but no obvious WPA code.

All help greatly appreciated - I've had this netbook for days and can't use it!

Most routers have the code on the bottom of them, have you looked there ?

If you can't find it you need to log into the router while connected using a wire, it won't show you the code if you login using a wireless connection.

The WPA details should be in the wireless section, probably entitled security. If you said which model of router, people could advise you more easily.

I can't believe it - I have gone through the router site so many times. I looked on the FAQ to see if they could help, went to back the page I have been staring at and the info is all there.

So I'm up and running now, but thank yo again.
