Ok. So, bit of a dull day in the land of Mrs R....
Work. Dull, duller and dullest. The dullest day in the dullest place in the dullest city on the south coast. Fortunately, widespread IT problems (always think the availability of networks get in the way of a good time) so, as had finished report had to write yesterday, back-pedalled a bit - actually, a lot. Did I actually do anything (other than free phone charge)?? Have become such a slacker. Am v. capable but not challenged enough, and that's the problem, TBH. And outside of work, am so busy, honestly do go there for a rest (and the dosh, natch, free internet, contact with outside world...etc). Shameful really.
Clocked up 2 NSDs so far this week, and one when spent only 55p (on milk for work, decided avoidable as always have whole herd-load at home, so now taking from home along with all other supplies for day). Today, spent £2.30 but knew would be spending something, so planned, and OK. Also, not for myself anyway. Have colleague who has a nephew who is v seriously ill (really) , so each Thursday, as she seems him Fri after his treatment, try to get him a little treat of some sort. Shamefully though, as now committed in print, as it were, to my debt journey, found myself deliberating whether he'd like Private Eye, as at £1.50 it was cheaper than the NME had already decided on. But sense prevailed thank goodness and got the NME.
All means I have (runs to purse to check).............. 49p until tomorrow evening, when I get my "new" £30 "personal expenses" (had a summer job as a temp in a dole office once, am sure that's what we used to call the money given to people who had no address....) money for the week. Still, been doing that (expenses I mean, not temp job, that was about 20 years ago) for a year and generally get through OK.
Did feel that itch to spend today though....mmmm ITunes, I'd like get some new music....mmmm...ooh, that girls' little blouse and cardi looks good, I'd look nice in that....especially with those little pumps I've got, bet I could pick something like that up in Warehouse...mmm going out to dinner tomorrow night, let's buy my friend a nice bouquet....mmmm, got to change those ear-phones, what else have they got in TK Maxx, oh, those scented candles look good....and that jumper/tunic would look so good with my boots.....BUT, you know, I am made of STERNER STUFF now, I can and will resist...AND I HAVE
And then, I've made a storecupboard supper go three ways tonight, due to our varying arrival times back chez R.....home-made tomato sauce and pasta and cheese for two younger boys, who each had football matches...then same but baked in oven with mozzarella on top for DS1 who'd been to rugby...then same sauce but mixed in with sweetcorn (leftover), butter beans and chickpeas (the mighty LIDL) and topped with mozzarella and breadcrumbs (old ends from loaves I freeze and crumb) for me and OH...and even blitzed up some of the sauce to go with the mushroom wellingtons am making to take to my friends' tomorrow....luckily Mrs R likes to cook.....we are having night in as both love 70s disaster movies and going to watch Towering Inferno....is extremely bad taste but mere coincidence that tomorrow is 9/11...but at least it's a cheap night
Hope some peeps read this, am starting to get performance anxiety....
But for now, coo coo y'all

Did you manage to do any Ebay at work today? I am now the proud owner of 9 items for sale on Ebay :j after three weeks of "planning" it! Already have one bid too - go on, do it, put something on!!
I empathise with that need to spend, I had it too today and went to Oxfam instead, OH most very proud of me he says. I also exercised and that got rid of said urge. Oh and I would have had to write it in that damn spending diary!
Hope you don't have quite as dull day tomorrow x1st debt - Next [STRIKE]£583.32[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]£408.71 [/STRIKE] £0 :j

Hypno and IMD
Thank you darlings, am pleased someone's out there. Though I am dull, it's true.
No, I dare not ebay at work! Well, I could look at lunchtime, but not list. We have pretty draconian IT policies as am public ser-vant, so fair enough, suppose. Think we are not officially allowed to do anything that involves spending or making money. But they've not said anything about SAVING it yet, so get my fill of MSE whilst there....Actually, LOL, we made the nationals last week as they banned Facebook use at my work...was gutted as I THOUGHT THEY'D BANNED IT YONKS AGO, so been missing out on my basic rights all this time ......
Huh

I have just had a read through too!
Your work sounds like mine, except your only safe on the internet from 12-2 when you might be on lunch! I'm also safe when doing anything which could be research for my role, which means I can do the free Microsoft training when I'm that bored! Things have actually been busier this week, but when I don't have anything to do, I sometimes copy and paste some stuff from the internet into word so I can read what I like! Have to be careful though, cos a lot of sites are blocked and if you try and visit them you might get evil warning message saying basically 'explain yourself'!0 -

Hellooooo Beanie Lou
Well, thank you kindly. Was a journalist (of sorts) a million years ago, now, just a dabbler. Got sidetracked and now do something duller but more reliable than the freelancer once was.
Gonna check in to yours later, have read it before but not for a bit, so going to get updated....notice you were well ahead of the zeitgeist, joining MSE in '06, you early adopter, you. Great stickability there, Beanie, i've lots to learn from you.
Back atcha later
