  • surely if this surgery is 'needed', then your parents would have already noticed this 'need' and probably would offer their help anyway.

It is possible but I wouldn't recommend it - my mum let me have a credit card in her name at 17 and she has a very good credit history so the card automatically went up to the highest possible credit amount. I managed to spend this in less than a month - I had to raid my savings to pay it off. The amount was £2,500 on the entry-level card. So glad I didn't apply for one with a higher possible credit limit!!!

Bottom line: don't get into debt unless absolutely necessary.
    Debt as of 02/02/2012
    Mortgage | [STRIKE]£2000 Loan[/STRIKE] | [STRIKE]Electric Bill[/STRIKE] | [STRIKE]Overdraft[/STRIKE] | Practically debt free! (Excluding mortgage)

    Savings as of 02/02/2012
General Savings - £3300 (So grateful I had some - just had to pay emergency vet bills) | Christmas 2012 Savings - £20
  • I wonder what user name he'll choose next time to ask the same question?
