Just drive you car through your nearest M&S store, everyone's doing it: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/hampshire/8274635.stm0

I have a similar one. I ordered two kids beds in June they took full payment in August and I arranged delivery in September. They even phoned me 19.45 in the evening the night before to confirm that the delivery would take place between 8 and 12 the next day. We took the kids old beds to the tip. at 9.30 on delivery day we were called to say that only one of the beds was on the van. It looks like it will be christmas before the other one turns up.
I was so upset and so was my 6 year old daughter about sleeping on the floor. I asked them to supply a temporary bed but was told that was not possible. Its now almost a week later and I am still waiting to receive a phonecall from the management that I was promised.
I dont think that it is acceptable for a child to sleep on the floor, but M&S obviously think that it is fine!0 -
I'm relieved to hear its not just me having problems with M&S furniture delivery. I have had a catalogue of problems getting some garden furniture : 1) they lost my contact details, 2) first delivery cancelled as 'driver out of hours', after I had waited in all day 3) came the next week, but delivered wrong items, 4) damaged a wall while delivering the wrong items, 5) only coming up with delivery dates when I happen to be away, and refusing to come up with an alternative (they insist I get a neighbour to stay in). 6) I've spent literally hours on the phone (mostly in a queue) to their distribution department, who give different reasons for the delays from M&S customer service.
It seems their delivery end just can't keep up with the orders they are taking.
I've reached the point where I've given up hope of getting my garden furniture before it gets cold, the best they can now offer is over a month away. I'm hoping I'll have it by spring!0 -
I'm having a problem with Harveys Furniture Store.
My wife and I bought furniture from Harveys earlier this year. We failed to check the products on delivery and didn't manage to check them until we were going to put them together - some 2months later. I know we went passed the three days of notifying of any damage (Term and Conditions) but it is clearly evident that the damage was caused during delvivery.
I have sent two letters, the first with a reply saying they wouldn't refund or exchange the product, and the second I am waiting for a reply.
Please can you advise what I can do?
Many thanks0 -
Hi, I have past experience with Harveys, not a pleasant experience I have to say. Firstly, make sure your letters are sent at least by recorded delivery. That way you can check with Royal Mail to confirm that the letters have arrived. Harveys will probably deny receiving the letters. Keep copies and maintain a log of phone calls letters etc
Contact consumer advice via Consumer Direct, you can register the complaint on line and it will be passed to your local consumer advice for action. They will mediate between you and Harveys, I had to arrange for an independent inspection costing £70 to eventually get a replacement table and chairs. A long process but they ( Harveys) try and wear you down but dont give up.0
