brighthouse have found me after 4 months i stopped paying them because i couldent afford it i paid 2 years on the goods can they still take them or not the place i live is not in my name its in my partners name

Until you have finished paying for the goods Brighthouse still own them. By stopping paying for the goods and moving without telling Brighthouse, you have effectively stolen the goods from them.

I would expect them to reclaim the goods, at a minimum. Be grateful that they probably won't press charges.

if thats correct ive had goods from powerhouse in 2001 never found me never pressed charges for theft

Well you stole those as well then. Just because a company doesn't look for you or find you, doesn't mean they aren't bothered.

Anything else you want to own up to stealing?

If they had found you, they would have pressed charges.

It doesn't matter if the house you live isn't in your name, the goods are. They are within their rights to take this further (which could result in court action which will affect future credit rating never mind the stress) so if I were you I would make contact with them, be honest and try to set up a repayment plan with them to repay what you owe.

So I'll just summarise my absolute contempt by calling the OP a thief, and that I'm glad he got caught, and that I hope the company takes the goods away.

Never heard of this company before so just had a look at their website, how are they still in business charging prices and interest like that, I can't see any reason to use them ever !

You could always ask them if they have an Arrest Warrant. Although if I was you I would give them the money back.:D
