gift vouchers expired!

Hi there does anyone know what consumer rights aply to gift vouchers? I was given some for Harvey Nicks for Christmas and they now say only 6 months or your money's gone! Surely can't be right? I'm well past the 6 months now and just hoped they would extend the period but they say no! Seems a bit unfair when the months pass by so quickly ...
Thanks!
Thanks!

I had an experience with Next vouchers a few years ago where the Voucher had expired and I was to send them away to the head office to get them replaced.... Ended up took a chance and went to Next and the voucher was accepted in the store....
In the end I'd like to think you should still be entitled to the money - someone has paid them money for it so you should still be able to either use the voucher or get a new one sent out!0 -

This topic seems to crop up a lot.
Sorry, there's nothing you can do. You have had 6 months to spend them.Squirrel! If I tell you who I work for, I'm not allowed to help you. If I don't say, then I can help you with questions and fixing products. Regardless, there's still no secret EU law.
