Hi,
I have a PC which is connected up to an orange livebox. I have just bought a new Toshiba Laptop which I need to wirelessle network to the PC for file sharing and to the livebox for imternat access. The PC is on Windows XP and the laptop is on Vista. I can not seem to get them to connect. The laptop is trying to connect to the livebox and the signal strength is excellent, but it does n't want to know. I'm not sure I have set the network up correctly, I have used a USB stick to transfer network details and both machines tell me that a network has been created, but like me and the mother in law they won't talk to each other. Any suggestions appreciated.

You have not mentioned entering the WiFi password which you will need. That will not be on the networking info you have transferred. TBH I've never bothered using that method of setting up a home network as just using the wizard on each machine is easy enough.0
