Would glass splashback behind hob and tiles go together?

Hi all
When I have seen glass splashbacks I have seen them used with either upstands, or a whole side of a wall of glass, above a worktop. I can't afford to splash out for a whole wall to be covered in glass, and don't want to just for for upstands as I think the walls in a kitchen need higher protection. I don't wanbt to be wiping the kitchen walls on a daily basis.
I do like the look of a glass splashback behind the hob, but not sure if this would go with tiles round the rest of the kitchen walls. I've gone for Oak cupboards, walls would be painted a pale colour, fancied beigey coloured tiles and a pale green or blue glass splashback behind the hob.
I'd be grateful on people's thoughts on this please. I've never seen any kitchens with this arrangement.
Many thanks

Hi
The tiles are stone coloured, similar to these ones. The splashback is actually frosted and the wall behaind it and the resto of the walls in the kitchen (when I paint them) will be Apple Green by Dulux.0 -
I'm going for something similar but only with a single tile 'upstand' around the worktop and then a glass 'splashback' in the same colour (black) behind the range cooker. Rest of the wall above upstand and below wall units is painted white like rest of kitchen and units, I felt filling all this space with black tiles would be overpowering.I think....0
