Atlantic massive Gas increase
I cannot believe it, Atlantic inform me as from the 15th May they will be putting my monthly direct debit Gas from £35 a month to a massive £54. This is ridiculous as they say they have etimated I use this amount. I am definatley thinking of switching but can anyone tell me who is the best as surely there are much cheaper options out there. I am in Cheshire.

We all know costs have gone up for all suupliers and have gone up substantially.
Did your last bill show any outstanding debt? If the co has factored that in to next years schme that culd account for increase, and you have to remember that the new reular amount will take account of the changed usage pattern,0 -
check out equigas and equipower, I switched to them 6 months ago from powergen and it was the best thing I ever did, google them, I did it from the uswitch site link on this site. You won't regret it...
I found some of my old Powergen bills the other day and there was a huge difference between them and my new supplier, I will dig them out and try to post with the figures.I always wanted to be a procrastinator, never got round to it...0 -

Just because they have informed you that the DD needs to increase to that amount, does not mean that it actually needs to! I was informed that my monthly DD was to more than double but when I rang them, they admitted that this was a computer generated figure and that it did not need to change at all.
The best thing to do is to put your annual kWh consumption figures into a spreadsheet and also take into account any debt on your account and work out the correct monthly DD figure for yourself. Then inform them what you wish to have your monthly DD adjusted to. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0 -
