Hi guys,
Im heading off to Africa this Friday and am really panicking about a few things.
First question, I am travelling all the way to Africa with Air france, so will I have to collect baggabe in Charles de Gaulle, or will it automatically be put on the next flight? I am flying Edinburgh to Charles De Gaulle then CDG to Johannesburg.
Secondly, my flight arrives in CDG, terminal 2e at 20.30 but my flight out doesn't leave terminal 2e until 23.20. Does anyone know if there is smoking areas inside the airport, or will I have to go outside the airport?
(Sorry last time I flew, I could still smoke in airport, before the smoking ban? so unsure)
I dont want to sit in the airport and not have a cig while im waiting as this is my first time flying myself, and I have never had a connecting flight before as its usually spain I have went on holiday, so am really nervous incase I do something wrong.
Any help would be HUGELY appreciated as im am so nervous just now so would like to make sure of things before I leave, that will maybe calm my nerves.
Thanks very much

Your baggage should be checked all the way through to your final destination. Since you will be in transit at Charles de Gaulle, you won't be able to leave the airport. There's no smoking inside the airport, so you'll be in Africa before you can have a fag. Maybe gets some nicotine gum or something?

You will probably arrive at one terminal building and depart from another one, with a shuttle bus to take you there. This means that you will be in the open air before and after getting on the bus. That is your opportunity to smoke!0
