Hi All,
Hopefully someone can point me in the right direction, I have 02 mobile broadband and a Sony Vaio it's about 4 years old, I've had the mobile broadband for ages, when suddenly it wants to change on to a cellular connection, whatever that is?
The second point is my Wi-fi connection seems to be locked and for the life of me can't work out how that happened and how to change it, any help at all would be great and if it's too complicated to sort i thought I'd cut my losses and get a new laptop, so any thoughts on that would be great too.
thanks in advance to anyone who can help.

right time to cut my losses then as no one knows how to help get my connection running, so what laptop would someone reccomend for someone who isn't all that technically minded?0

Mobile Broadband works by connecting via the cellular networks (the same one your phone does), so it's not surprising that it wants to do that. I assume O2 have a connection manager that will give you the details of the best connection it can find for you to connect to?The second point is my Wi-fi connection seems to be locked and for the life of me can't work out how that happened and how to change it, any help at all would be great and if it's too complicated to sort i thought I'd cut my losses and get a new laptop, so any thoughts on that would be great too.

How do you mean locked? Are you trying to change your existing connection or add a new one?0 -
Thnaks for replying anewhope, I'm doing this at work so it's from memory, hen I first started with mobile broadband I'm sure it didn't connect through cellular. the thing is it says it's connected in my control panel, but every time I try to google or anything this box pops up asking me to conect to cellular, if i click connect it disconnects me. The connection I used to go through has a red cross through it, this is my wireless one that seems locked, hope I'm making some sense.0
