  • Hullo hullo hullo!! :hello:

This isn’t so much a post of what DFW stuff I’ve been up to (have still been DFW though, promise!:p )…..but felt that I had to post to share my plans with you all!! As you may have noticed I’ve been away from MSE for a loooong while, no real reason just that I’ve been spreading my wings and felt that I haven’t needed to rely so much on MSE, which I did heavily for a long time, it will always be my t’internet home though! But I felt really, really good as I was able to continue my DFW ways and OS ways on my own, bit like riding a bike without stabilisers! Before finding MSE I was a total nightmare!! And now (cheesy as it may sound!!) I feel totally relaxed and am a total dream!!

Anyway, am waffling now!! What I wanted to share with you all are my plans, and it feels only right to share my plans with my virtual family!

Well….. in 3 weeks I am handing in my notice to leave my day job:eek: . I am also doing the same with my part time jobs. I then leave all these jobs on 25th May 2007, scary stuff as I’ve never been without a job since I was 13!!!!!! A week later, BF and I are off for 8 weeks to travel around Europe! We will be backpacking, I am sooo excited! So that’s the first big thing, and that is what I am saving for, see figures below and also for countdown!! :j

Next big thing….. I am going back to full time education!! I am going back to college for a year to do an Access to Initial Teacher Training course and then next September I’ll be going to uni to train to be a Primary School teacher!!! Finally doing something and feeling amazing about all these new changes!!! Start of my new life soon!!! Got to find myself a part time job when I get back and put an end to these 70 hour weeks .

And I truly think that I couldn’t have done any of it without discovering MSE:o .

I am so pleased to be sharing all this with you!!

Love and hugs to you all!
    :smileyhea
Here's a virtual egg for you all!! :easter_ba

I did freeze my cards in the end!!! :p

Well done and all the best to you...still keep visiting us though and let us know how you are doing
  • Well, I'm back!!! :D

I did all I said I would do, I paid off all my debts bar my loan, went travelling and not for 8 weeks but 3 months! Did my year at college, got mega skint and started uni this September just gone! Phew! Oh and moved!!

Only thing is, I am now back in debt again :o

Wondered if you lovely chaps could look at my SOA and come up with any good ideas???

    Income monthly
    £348 from job
    £600 from student loan

    £948 total

    Outgoings monthly
    £425 bills
    £18 Denplan
    £28 pet insurance
£60 MBNA (min payment plus a bit extra)
    £12.50 Specsavers
    £35 O2
    £115.85 Halifax loan
    £140 Train season ticket
    £25 overdraft interest

    £859.35 total

Leaves me with £88.65 a month to live on. I also have to buy things each week for uni such as materials for the course etc :(

    Debts
    £1200 MBNA credit card
£999 Student OD (0% so can wait)
    £1700 Halifax OD
£1000 Halifax loan (to finish in Sept 09)
£4500 owed to boyfriend (he is happy to wait for this)

    £9399 total

The things out of the above debts that are the most important to get rid of are my current a/c OD and the credit card, the loan will finish in September anyway so will have £115.85 extra a month then.

Any ideas of ways I can pay these off quicker??

Can you get any more overtime at work?
Are you on all the click/review websites to earn etc? If you went travelling for 3 months, you can write loads of reviews on Dooyoo, which pay 500 Dooyoo miles per review, get 50k in miles and it equals £50 in cash.
What have you got that you can Ebay?
