M&S closing their changing rooms!

It really bugs me when shops closing their changing rooms! Whats the point? I bought 3 skirts, took them home none of them fit properly- I could have bought the proper sizes (smaller ;) ) had they not closed them! Now I have to take them back to get refunds as I doubt they will have any items left in the smaller sizes! Its not even as though they are as busy as Next who close theirs because of limited manpower!

Your loss M&S I shan't be buying clothes from you again in a sale!

I had not heard that M and S were closing their changing rooms.
If this really is the case then they will lose a lot of potential custom- mine for one.

I was in their changing rooms once at 5.20pm and it went pitch black. They had started putting out the store lights ready for closing at 5.30pm. The assistant had admitted me to the changing rooms so knew I was there but had disappeared when I came out. I complained to the manager the next day (H&S etc.)and had a gift voucher.

My main gripe with changing rooms in many stores is that there are too few, they are too hot and too small, and often poorly lit (thats why they look ok in the shop but not at home!).

Debenhams close their changing rooms at the start of the sale for security reasons. Have M&S done the same this year? I hardly ever try anything on in M&S as the queues are often too long. I just buy everything in 2 different sizes on my credit card and take back what I don't want.

i think the majority of changing rooms are vile anyway and chose not to use them, but i think its absolutely ridiculous that these companies just chose to close them down, not everyone feels the same as i do and many want to try before buying >:( >:(

M&S closed their changing rooms nationwide for 2 days. There was prior notice in the shops well before Xmas.If you ,and many of you do,go into M&S int he first few days after Xmas i'm sure you will appreciate just how busy the store is.The queues are long at every tillpoint with staff working flat out.The fitting room is not alllowed to be unmanned for security reasons. As M&S has a very generous refund policy, you therefore have the choice to buy a few things and bring the ones back you don't require OR leave the store and return ONLY 2 days later when the fitting room has been reopened.I can appreciate that some people may find this in covenient, but many retailers, including Next,do the same.I would just like to point out that myself and other colleagues were sooo verbally abused which is unacceptable and shouldn't be allowed, just because fitting rooms were closed for 2 days.I really felt like saying just go and look at the newspapers or watch the TV and see how many people have lost rheir lives in SE Asia and get your priorities RIGHT please.

Calm down. Personally if I can't try I often don't buy especially in M&S. The queues after Xmas for returns are a joke for weeks. Often just 4 staff on returns who seem to have to hang every returned item on the correct size hanger before serving the next customer. You are left standing in a stuff queue with no seats - even for the needy for 40 minutes.

Next changing rooms are now open and the lovely lady let me take in 10 items even though they were busy as the sale is still on. I made sure I was super quick trying on so she would let others do the same.

Sorry to say I can just picture you saying that.

If your priorities are elsewhere why are you bothering to post here?
