NHS Direct Call charges
Kaniz
My 4 year old daughter was sick last month (suspected swine flu) and we have just received a phone bill of £32:mad: as we were on hold for about 1 hour before being put through to a call centre rep. We then called back a couple of times regarding other concerns about her. This is extortionate and im wondering if anyone else has had a similar experience - is there anything we can do??

You would have been aware of the cost per minute when you made the call, you stayed on the phone for that long (even though I understand you HAD to) so you will be liable for the charges. They are other ways to get free medical advice other than calling NHS Direct... the National Pandemic Helpline number is an 0800 number and you can also self diagnose on their website and get a code for the Tamiflu if needed.0

NHS Direct is a way of keeping you on hold for an hour before telling you to visit your GP.Squirrel! If I tell you who I work for, I'm not allowed to help you. If I don't say, then I can help you with questions and fixing products. Regardless, there's still no secret EU law.
