Sub £550 laptop

Hello, I'm looking for a good performance laptop. Budget is £500-£600. Less if possible.

I'm looking at one with an Intel Core 2 duo processor with the number at least t/p 6000 or more. At least 2.0 ghz.

At least 3gb ram and 256mb dedicated graphics.

Decent wireless g/n card. Vista premium/ultimate. At least 300 gb hard drive SATA.

I've found some from Laptops direct. I've heard that they're not much good. There's some good deals with dell, but at the moment, they're not doing any buy now pay later deals. I wish I had ordered with Dell sooner.

I don't mind if the specs are even better as long as their in that price margin or less. E.g ddr3 or 7200 rpm is preferred but I don't mind ddr2 or 5400rpm.

Prefer it if it is available with interest free finance option. Screen size, battery life or anything else doesn't matter. I'm sure something will come up. I will take a look at it if you don't find anything with a finance option.

Thanks in advance.

Go to Dell . I got an £800 laptop studio 15 for £560 and with topcashback £30 back a few months later. if you can wait go for them when they heavily discount £200+ and send you a 10% off code

It's what I said... Dell do have some really good deals. Is there a coupon code which gives you buy now pay later option?

never seen a coupon code for that more of just an annoucment on their main page in a rotating Ad banner. But no harm in asking if you call their sales team.

I have rang them, and they told me that they no longer do that deal. Any other store that has those specs? Forget about Dell sales! Though I know they have good value prices.

I don't mind an acer/pb, toshiba, asus, hp/compaq, sony (seem good, but expensive), samsung, or dell with that price, but not from the dell shop, because very few shops don't have an interest free finance option these days..

Just bought an Apple Macbook, refurbished for £564.35 plus VAT. When it arrived it was brand new, unopened. So can you get anyone to buy your computer through a company and reclaim the VAT?

Does it come with Windows Vista? Refurbished isn't the same as brand new... If a company buys a laptop, do they really get it without VAT?
