  • Just a little update SOA nearly sorted i know im slow but i have had little time with everything thats going on (what an eye opener its turning out to be)

I have now recieved a letter from HB saying i have to attend a interview under caution!!!!!!

I'm not worried anymore about this, i know for a fact i have done nothing illegal and i have copies of all the letters and notices to take with me. They can either accept this or take me to court, i have now had enough, being treated like a criminal for their mistake has gone beyond a joke, still i suppose its what you get for standing up for yourself and putting in a formal complaint.

I have contacted the bursery company and they have stated yet again tonight that the LA cannot take this money into account as it covered flutuating (spelt wrong?) tuition fees etc and placement exspenses, they were extremely angry actually that this was going on and offered to explain the situation over the phone if needed, at present they are sending me out some old paperwork which may help me prove what they are doing is wrong.

Anyway the interview is friday so we shall see how i goes. Writing on here is like therapy.......its fab
  • Thanks polaroid means alot x
  • SOA done.......don't look good does it? I have not added the £2500 in HB which is in dispute yet or my overdraft of £3,068:-(

  • Hey there Tinkly,

It might not seem it to you right now but I think you've done amazingly with getting your degree against the odds. I've just finished a HNC and it was such hard work whilst working as well, and I don't have any kids!

Be kind to yourself and appreciate your achievements. I know only too well how at times it seems there is always something there to knock you down but it won't always be like that... there will be good times.

Don't worry about the new clothes for the new job, your new colleagues will have never seen the clothes you'll put on for work and if you wear something new you might look like the new girl anyway ;-) Just think of all the opportunities this new job could bring and the people you might meet through it.

You've come so far and it sounds like deep down you have the strength to tackle anything.

Good luck with your new job!
    x

P.s. Sorry I can't offer anything practical re your SOA at the moment, I'm not exactly an expert myself.
Me, DH and DD (17 months) clearing our debt for a better future. Then (LBM) = £21,636.43 (Oct 2009) Now = £12128.07 (44%)
    GOALS/CHALLENGES
Try to get credit card to £2k by April 2012 (was £3014.94)
PADing to clear CC 1/1/12 TOTAL: £32.00
Ditch 100 in January challenge: lost count but way over 100!!!/100
  • Your SOA looks fine (in a way that we can work with it). There is nothing really to cut back on. Its the money available to creditors we have to work on.

Being an ex- DCA collector my best advice is go and make an appointment at your local CAB. They will contact your creditors on your behalf (incl HB and bank) and arrange a pro rata payment. Creditors will 99.9% accept what the CAB offer as its a recognised organisation and basically they daren't say no to them!!

Failing the CAB, CCCS and Payplan are the next best recognised organisations.

But remember your overdraft.....if your bank becomes funny and cuts your overdraft just after you get paid you are up ^&^&*^*&^ without a paddle. Whenever you are in debt to a bank change accounts.

Open up a basic bank account and transfer all your wages, benefits and debits to it - that way you are back in control!!!

Good luck............. there is light at the end of the tunnel.
