Alliance & Leicester - Death of dad and Bank charges

My dad died within the last two weeks. A Standing Order went out of my account during this time. I had not been able to put money into my account to cover it. Got a letter a few days ago saying that they were charging a standard fee and £5 for every day that the account was minus zero. Called them to explain what happened and they wouldn't delete the charges. They are a disgrace.

I would write to their head office about this one and explain the circumstances because I do think that they may refund on this occasion as clearly there are exceptional circumstances.0 -
