    Good morning all.

I have finally caught up on the thread and wow there was alot.

Hugs to all who need and want them.

I have not done too much over the last few days. Have a cold which can't make it's mind up if it is coming or going. Went to the dentist and have to have a crown!! and been shopping for new carpet and after having a green (yes i said green) carpet for the last 14 years i can't get the colour out of my head so can't decide what colour to have.

Now the above is really trivial and i am sorry but we dh and i can't decide. I thought about laminate as well but he is not so keen.

I had my hair coloured yesterday and then we (me ds and best friends dd she had a hangover and was asleep on my settee)went to a family day at the pub. There were rides for the kids a bar for the adults and the firemen and a boy band for the ladies. It was cool and we had a couple of hours there.

Yesterday i did all of the washing dried it all and put it all away.

I have my interview clothes for tomorrow all ready and the shoes have even been polished.

I have to go into Boots store for my interview in Sheffield centre so i can get off the tram at the cathederal and just walk across the road to Fargate and i am there. I used to work for Boots when i was a YTS when i was 16 god i now feel ancient (38) 22 years how time goes by when your having fun.

Saw the yorkshire pudding thread and now fancy toad in the hole for lunch today. Not had that for ages.

Have a great day peeps xx

    Hugs to all in need.

    Morning all

Welcome back Diva and Vanilla how you both doing?

    Good luck for tomorrow Quillion

We have another fine day which is nice. DS and I are off into town this afternoon. A local scientific society is having an open day so we want to go and look at all their artefacts - archaelogical stuff including an egyptian mummy!

  • PenPen enjoy the peace (and the chocolate), I've often thought of working for CAB - is the training very long?

I have done :D CAB training takes as long as you want it to. You can be basically trained (ready to advise clients, but with as much support as you need) within about 4 months, or less if your bureau encourages it and you can get on a training course quickly. You then do the more specialist courses (debt, housing, employment, etc) in and amongst your advising.

I started as a volunteer when the children were about 10 and 8, and it fitted in with school hours. I was then offered 8hrs/week paid debt work, and the children were able to fend for themselves for an hour after school (and enjoyed the responsibility ;) ). It's now grown to 2 or 3 days a week (could be more, but I have other things to do, and a DH who often works away and abroad, so I want to be here for the children). I'd highly recommend it as a fulfilling thing to do :T

  • Valli – well done on the WM. Hope you get DS ‘sorted’
Dusty – hope you are OK this morning
Pigpen – wow that was some serious flying. Well done to DD1 especially as she is so young for her year. Surely she should be working for the next lot of GCSEs. Loved the description of Tiddles at school.
ffp – huge hugs for you and OH that is terrible. Hope they find out it really was quick. Sounds as if other friend was very lucky. Makes you realise how quickly things can happen. And well done to HRH and DS2.
Helen Jelly – Hugs for you and your Mum It’s difficult to know what to do when the ‘strong’ one in the family finds it difficult to cope. I have taken very few flyladies as friends mainly because I have to keep checking who they are (think of you all by your flynames IYKWIM)
Wilf – well done on the garden
OrkneyStar – gentle hugs for your back
Rose – hope you are feeling better after your evening out. Ah yes, door curtain – suppose I should start by fixing up the rail.
Greenbee – were you on holiday? Sounds as if you spent the week grafting!
Ishtar – hope you get the fence sorted. I got three bookcases from IKEA last year. Really impressed with how they look.
Sexymouse – please get as much rest as you can. I do not understand how people can say teachers have an easy life.
Rach – positive thoughts for your FIL
Mudbath – no-one likes their children’s education being disrupted, but there are times when that is not the important thing – well done for sorting them.
Ajmoney – well done on the garden. It does help when you can see what you have done.
GnB – healing vibes for your dad.
Mummyof 5 – hope DS2s thumb is better.
lil-me – well done on the move. Hope it is still going well.
soappie – hope DS and DiL’s flat gets sorted.
Quillion - good luck for interview.

Special hugs and positive healing vibes for zoe, FeeFee, toots and Lady-L.

Note to self – do not try and catch up with a whole weeks thread. (plus check post369 for muesli recipe – got to be better than shop cereal)
