Hugs to you and yours Funfair...
I have *glow* fixed the leak on the water inlet for my washing machine (checked with neighbour and apparently I shouldn't have used PTFE tape last time...declined offer from him to come and do it - said I'd have a go first. Am very pleased as I plumbed it in myself originally) and while toolbox was out tightened nuts on I*** coffee table using I*** allen key as per their advice!
Done ALL my ironing; just having a :coffee:
encouraged DD to clean gerbil cage. She dropped the tank on the path and it's now cracked...she is NOT happy - it's like this one. It is, IMHO, perfectly usable though! She wants to go and get a new one :eek:Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Manic Monday ~ Kitchen of Grot and Diming Room of Gloom
ALL DONE! :j
All done for this week now!
Cream of celery soup made and had a portion for lunch - thank you for who it was on here who posted the recipe last week :T
Tomorrow's plan is to wash the other pair of bedroom curtains if the weather holds as the 1st pair turned out fine after a wash and felt very dusty when I took them down this morning.
Continue with some more soup making, baking and chutney and tomato ketchup attempts. Better get up early and make an early start on all of this! Plus want to tidy the garden up too! Also wipe out the cutlery drawer if I have time or I will add it onto the kitchen list (said it now so had better do it! It is part of the Christmas preparations!)
The winter prep list is almost at completion stage :j
Right, had better make a start on the tomato sauce batch cooking for tea

That's so sad FFPDustykitten wrote: »Soappie how is your DD?
She's coping thanks Dusty. We went and delivered the settee that was lodged in the friend up the road's garage to him today for his new flat. We were all very civil. I'd given them saucepans when they moved in to the old flat and DD bought them back but asked if her ex could have them so I said yes - I would rather they were in a good home than cluttering up this already full to the brim place.
Once DS and DiL move out we'll be able to have a good clearout and rearrange.
I have done oodles of washing and am now waiting for some blini batter that I've assembled to rest before I treat us to smoked salmon blinisI am the leading lady in the movie of my life

Hugs Princess Jane, its always such a shock to find out news like that. I had a similar thing happen to me, but it wasn’t quite so much money – my DH didn’t tell me all his debts and it’s a horrible feeling when you find out
I'm totally gutted, as we've been together six years, both 31, and I was hoping marriage and eventually kids might be on the cards. But now I'm going to have to accept that this is never going to happen, as he is literally crippled with debt.DEBT FREE! Sep '08/£9,800 in Oct '06 :beer:0 -
Princess - don't give up hope! You've done a great job on your debt. ((hugs))
(I was a 'late' mum too. On my 32nd birthday I told my mum I wanted to be a mum before I was 33. With IMPECCABLE timing DS was born the day before I was 33! (He was a full two weeks late, too, and had to be hauled out the hard way :rotfl:))
But talk to him and tell him what you want or he won't ever know! I think he needs to 'break free emotionally' (I hope you see what I'm getting at) from his parents because, from what you have said, they are NOT helping and he is repeating their patterns. Mind you I could be talking out of my bum...
Free listing on e bay tomorrow so DS's GBA games are going under the
hammer...Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016
