Then I made a sort of half loaded comment to DiL about DS's ironing that's piling up - which has now moved to a smaller area because DD has come home. When they married and she moved in, I told her that DS's ironing would be her responsibility. She started off doing it. But now she just does her own. I mentioned it earlier this evening. She took the hump. DS came out and asked who'd upset DiL and why. I explained. He said he wasn't doing his own ironing he'd just go to work in stuff unironed.

    Aggghhhh !

Am off to bed shortly - hey ho - tomorrow is another day said Scarlet
Well if it's not going to be ironed then one of them needs to put it away in the wardrobe/drawers. Or at least in their room so it can clutter up their space and not yours.
Sorry about your DD, it's hard for you when your kids are upset. Hope you are all ok, give each other a hug xx

I do hope it's a tape you're listening to and not a written exercise that you need to complete whilst driving!:rotfl:
Yes, it's a CD by Michel Thomas! Very good, he tries to teach French in the way you learned your mother tongue IYSWIM

Thanks for all the replies to my question, very grateful to have your input.

    Welcome Achtunglady

I'm off to me bed, night night xx

    Night all

The DoDo is on work experience this week, leaving the house at 5:30am - I wonder what the chances are that we will all be woken up?

  • Can I be added to the list please ? what with ,school holidays ,decorating and going away things have slipped in the domesticated goddess area of my life :D . But believe me I have been punished for this crime when my Ex brought home my DD he also brought round his mother too  . Not only have I not seen her in about 4/5 years I also dont like her very much because of the way in which she fails miserably in her grandmother role (no xmas or b.day cards for DD etc etc) .anyway basically house was a big pile of mess i had just got home from a camping trip night before so laundry(knickers to be exact) and stuff just dumped in hallway I could just see the look ,maybe now she might stop badgering her son to give it another go with me:rotfl::rotfl: (we split 6 and a half years ago) .

Hi everyone, not posted for a while and the house looks like it's been hit by a whirllwind.

Will attack the kitchen tomorrow as instructed and hopefully will even get round to cooking a meal.

I haven't been totaly lazy though - I've spent the weekend painting Ashia's new flat in Beverley. She will be moving in in two weeks so we have quite a lot to do. She and her DP are going to paint the kitchen tomorrow as the LL is going to replace the floor covering later in the week and they want to get it done.

LL - will be thinking of you tomorrow

Didn't fly much after Mon of last week as was reaching over to put something in a cupboard when something went ping in my back. Been suffering all week, but finally seem to be getting sorted now.
OH gave me a hand this weekend and we did a catchup on a few rooms, should have seen the bin liners that went to the tip .
Going to rejoin the flying this week, but don't want to push it too much so will stick with level 1 and maybe some of 2.
