  • Hi everyone - after weeks going AWOL I'm back.
Have had a very stressful time since I last posted as our firm carried out another round of redundancies and I have now been sent on garden leave pending hearing the outcome of my appeal. I dont think for a minute it will be granted and once I hear it hasnt I will be persuing a claim against them.
Determined not to waste the unexpected time off so I am going to make sure I get the house sorted.
  • Thanks for starting us off Rose! Sorry... I'd jumped into the shower and forgot to start us off! :o What can I say.... ?? It's been a while! :D:D

Thanks for joining everyone.... how did you all do?

Ok, in my slightly extended HHC I ... :

    Showered me and DD3
    Loaded the DW
    Wiped the worktops
    Wiped over all the units
    Wiped over the appliances
    Wiped the kickboards
    Wiped the MW
    Cleaned the hob
Wiped the front of the cooker

right Docs app. for DD1 and DD3 so gotta run

Oh.... me and palpitations.... I got them really badly a few years ago before dd3 was diagnosed and we didn't know what was up with her. It's just stress really, I've had no time to myself for ages, what with starting work and then the holidays. So, things WILL be better when the children are back at school.
I've got some beta blockers if it gets really bad.

    oooooo gotta run.

    Hi again,
WB Toots fest30.gif Are you enjoying Fort William ? Not been there for years but remember travelling the railway line from Glasgow to Mallaig via Fort William- so scenic. Also rememver going there with my sister for the day and eating smash potatoes made with hot water from a flask, sitting on the grass and enjoying the sunshine.......was only about 15/16 and we had Rail Rover tickets, and spent days in FW, Inverness, Perth, Nairn, Aberdeen, Oban etc. Was a lovely time and seems a decade a go (lol it was 2 decades ago!).
LL I am registered with FB but don't really use. I will still be posting, just with my own lists, until I am feeling more up to it! Thing is back is sore even if I rest. I am thinking of you today...hugs.
    Welcome all newbies!

    -brought laundry down

-put a wools wash on (incl new cardi I knitted DS....might post a pic later if thats ok)
-put BM on to make iced bun dough
-emptied potty three times (sorry if TMI but he is happily doing poos and pees in there now ;)) and duly awarded stickers too.
    -checked emails
    -gave several cuddles

Cool, I think it's really good for young men to do jobs like that, hard work outside is very healthy! Hope he enjoys it, is he thinking of doing something like that for a job when he leaves school?

    Welcome Princess Lou and Michbright

Welcome back Toots, did you have a nice time away?

Hugs Fedup, hope your cold is better soon and you feel a bit brighter

    Hugs Lady Liberty

Hugs Milliejo, hope things turn out how you want re work

    In my HHC, I:
    Stripped the bed
Washed up and S&S'd the worktop
melted the fat out of an oven dish and poured it into an empty can
found my black bra (ready to sew up later)
picked up my floordrobe and then saw all the mess under it and my heart sank

I had quite a productive extended HHC of 50 mins, I:
Tidied the cupboards and put things where they made more sense
Cleaned inside all the cupboards (no sticky dishevelled cupboards anymore)
Cleaned the insides of all the cupboard doors
    Vacuumed the floor

Notice the one kitchen item that is still there...hmm...we shall see
