dla question

hoping that someone can help I have sent my renewal claim for dla some weeks ago presently on hrm and lrc renewal date is 30/09/09 had a medical but no decision yet. Problem is I have taken out a mobility car which is not due to go back until june 2010 now going by the posts I have read I am expecting to be refused or to get my claim reduced as that seems to be the norm. can anyone tell me what will happen re my car If I get refused. I will appeal if turned down as my problems have got worse and will only continue to do so but I realise that while the appeal is waiting to be heard my money will be stopped therefore no car payments made.

Please dont assume that its the norm for claims to be refused or reduced,remember most of what you read on any forum is from people who have had problems and not those who have been successful,if your condition has stayed the same or worsened there is every chance your DLA will remain as it was.

Just a quick update got my renewal reply back today they have stopped both mobility and care component so now have to sort out sending my car back no blue badge so now am completly housebound. not stopped crying yet oh is trying his best but cannot see any way forward.

Victorias dad, why dont you get form GL 24,AND APPEAL IT,We had to the same for our DD,we to had a motability car,they let us keep the car until we went to tribunal,get intouch with them and explain what has happened,it should be ok to keep the car,get as much information as possible from everybody who know you,including doctors etc, Good Luck,get this GL24 from the CAB they will help you fill it in send away ASAP. Let us know how you get on,ps try not to worry I know it's an awful thing to happen,I was in such a state too,once you get help it will not be so bad,I got my MLA to help me,and he went to the tribunal with me,(even thought I did all the talking) he did help....All the Best.....

thanks for that jmabnc I have spoken to dla people and explained my situation and have asked them to reconsider this apparently can be requested over the phone and tried to explain the difficulties I have doing daily tasks and walking i have also asked for the report from my medical as non of the report seems to reflect what I said I think he mistook me for kelly holmes as according to him I am not disabled at all. I have got over the initial shock of being disbelieved and am now ready to come out fighting all be it in a disabled kind of way.

If the reconsideration fails be prepared to appeal,comtact welfare rights now,or cab,either will help with the appeal,but get help with it to better ensure success
