Loans V's Credit History

Sorry I know theres lots of similar questions but I was wondering if anyone could give me advice.
I have 2 Credit cards both with approx 2k each on both are clean with all payments upto date. I also have a loan of 1600.00 which is upto date and states sastisfactory on my credit report.
However I have 3 defaults on my account from 3.5 years ago now. 2 of them are paid off and one has £700 still outstanding which I am still paying off.
does anyone know if it's correct that the 2 defaults which are now paid off are still showing on my experian report or should they have dissapeared when they were paid off in full?
Also I am looking for a loan of 6K so I can consilidate all the payments to save myself quite a lot of money each month.
What do you think my chances are of getting a loan for 6K with 3 defaults from over 3 years ago and a credit score of 822 (which states fair)
Any advice would be a great help.
Thanks

Defaults, satisfied or not, will show on your credit report for 6 years. Your best bet for a loan would be to approach a lender with whom you already have a satisfactory relationship, such as your bank or your mortgage provider. These companies will have more info to go on than just your credit report. My Debt Free Diary I owe:

Aug 16 £19519 Dec 16 £17708
