Dell Dimension 3100 & Graphics Card

Rather hastily this morning I purchased a Dimension 3100 (D05316) online.
I have now found out that PC is pretty much un-upgradeable.
The only thing that worries me is the lack of adding a graphics card due to motherboard issues.
I am wondering whether a PCI graphics card (not pci-e) will work ok e.g http://www.ebuyer.com/UK/product/100934/rb/18784067731 ?
Thanks for your help .......:D

I bought this one

for my 3yo Tiny PC with the same problem as yours. Fitted easily and with a bit of work to the Bios works perfectly. My lad can now play all his DX9 games.0 -
Hi
Can't you cancel your 3100 and go for a 5150 which has a dedicated pci-e graphics slot, which I think is a much better buy.
Have a look for their Hot Offers here

Hope this helps0 -
Thanks for the replies.
I have yet to get an order confirmation re my dell purchase. I think I bought it at a misprice (they were offering 2048 Mb ram with the 3100 at a £0.00 upgrade price), so am not sure whether my order will be carried through.
Thanks billy the kid what you suggest seems reasonable, price wise at least!0 -
Under distance selling regulations, you can return the goods for up to 7 days after they are received. So if you've decided you no longer want the Dell PC, you can (politely) tell them to shove it0

Ok is the following spec Dell 3100 worth it for £500?
Intel P4 521 processor with HT (2.80GHz 800MHz fsb 1MB cache)
Windows XP MCE
2048MB RAM
Dell E176FP 17 inch TFT monitor
160GB HDD
3.5 inch FDD
48X CD ROM
DVD+/-RW
Sound Blaster Audio
Keyboard/Mouse
Intergrated GMA 900 Graphics
Avermedia MCE DVB-T TV Tuner Card
Thanks in advance for any replies

If you don't play games then it's fine. If you do play the latest games such as Battlefield 2, Doom 3 etc then I would cancel it (just call them, I did same last week) and order something else instead. I'd recommend the 5150 which is a cracking deal at the moment.
The 2GB is pretty useless I'd say for 90% of people. 1GB is more than enough. The other gig is just willy waving really!
