Intermittent sound problem

Bought new pc online a couple of months ago. Every so often a strange screeching sound starts up and I have to close the open windows ( not always all of them) to stop the noise. Any ideas what it could be anyone? It's not a huge issue but if it is a fault should I look to getting it sorted while it is under warranty. It would be a shame/pain to send it back ( online shop) but a minor occasional inconvenience.
