We have an old Whirlpool built-in single oven (under a gas hob) that after a few repairs has broken again and now really must be replaced. The hob itself is an old and basic Whirlpool, however it's simple & works. (I do wish it would switch itself off if flame goes out)
I'm a fan of "value" rather than price, and thus far Bosch/Siemens/John Lewis have been the brands I've looked at. Others such as NEF are more pricey, whilst I've stayed away from zanussi/candy/indesit etc.
What other brands would you recommend I consider for my shortlist?
I'm looking for one of:
* Most likely - a built in single oven
** Ideally want pyrolytic interior. Hate cleaning the oven.... Prob ~600 for a bosch
* Alternative - standalone single oven/hob
** Would require worktop to be cut
** Bosch do an induction/single oven unit
** probably doesn't look as nice
* Alternative - built under double oven
** But oven size seems limited to ~45l, probably a little small
Now the best option is probably to totally refit the kitchen .. that's a totally different price, but we'd then get either a range cooker or a built in double oven. That's one concern I have in spending too much on an oven now if we do the kitchen totally in 2 years time.

We have a De Dietrich, top brand with plenty of features. Food really cooks better too.
